The author has a degree in Medicine, with a Medical Residency in Pediatrics and Cardiology, a MSc in Cardiology and a PhD in Health Sciences.
He is currently taking a second degree in Photography at the Higher School of Media Arts and Design (ESMAD) of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto (IPP).

His interest in macrophotography developed from photography of natural landscapes and nature, followed by the perception that there is a lot of beauty in the details of life and that it goes unnoticed in most cases.

In addition, he has an additional interest in territory, particularly in Portuguese territory and cities, where history is breathable at every corner.
